Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Parasify ("the App") is a personal finance tracking application developed by Ahmet Kochan ("we", "us", "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information.

Parasify is designed with a privacy-first architecture. Your financial data is stored locally on your device using Apple's CoreData framework by default. If you enable Cloud Synchronization, your data is securely stored on Supabase servers to enable backup and Family Sharing features.

2. Data Storage

All financial data you enter into Parasify — including transactions, budgets, wallets, assets, debts, loans, goals, categories, and settings — is stored locally on your device using Apple's CoreData framework.

• No external servers: Your financial data is never sent to our servers or any third-party servers.
• No user accounts: Parasify does not require you to create an account, sign up, or provide any personal information to use the App.
• No backups on our servers: Backups created within the App (JSON export) are saved to locations you choose on your device. If Cloud Synchronization is enabled, your data is also stored on Supabase servers.

3. Cloud Synchronization (Optional, Premium)

If you choose to enable Cloud Synchronization, your data is securely stored on Supabase servers to keep it backed up and synchronized across your devices. This is a premium feature.

• What is stored: Your Apple ID (for authentication) and your financial data (transactions, budgets, wallets, assets, debts, loans, goals, categories, and settings) are stored on Supabase servers.
• All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest on Supabase's infrastructure.
• Cloud Synchronization is required for the Family Sharing feature.
• Cloud Synchronization is entirely optional and can be disabled at any time in the App's settings.

4. Family Sharing (Optional, Premium)

Parasify offers an optional Family Sharing feature that allows you to share all your financial data with family members. This is a premium feature that requires Cloud Synchronization to be enabled.

• Shared data is stored and transmitted through Supabase's secure cloud infrastructure.
• You control who has access to your shared data and can stop sharing at any time.
• Family members must also be Parasify premium users to access shared data.
• You can stop sharing at any time through the App's settings.

5. Camera & Document Scanning

Parasify uses your device's camera solely for scanning receipts and financial documents.

• All image processing and text recognition (OCR) happens locally on your device using Apple's VisionKit framework.
• Scanned images and extracted data are stored only on your device.
• No images or scanned data are ever uploaded to any server.
• Camera access requires your explicit permission and can be revoked at any time in iOS Settings.

6. Biometric Authentication (Face ID / Touch ID)

If you enable the app lock feature, Parasify uses Apple's LocalAuthentication framework to verify your identity.

• Parasify never accesses, processes, or stores your biometric data.
• Authentication is handled entirely by the iOS operating system.
• The App only receives a success or failure result from the system.

7. Exchange Rate & Market Data

To provide live currency exchange rates, cryptocurrency prices, and commodity prices, Parasify fetches market data from our backend service.

• What is transmitted: Only currency codes, cryptocurrency identifiers, and commodity types (e.g., "USD", "EUR", "BTC", "XAU"). No personal or financial data is included in these requests.
• Server: Our backend service aggregates publicly available market data and serves it to the App. No user-identifiable information is logged or stored.
• No personal data: These requests contain no account information, device identifiers, IP address logging, or any data that could identify you.
• Exchange rates are cached locally on your device to minimize network requests.

8. AI Chat Feature (Google Gemini)

Parasify includes an optional AI-powered chat feature that uses Google's Gemini API to provide financial insights and answer questions about your financial data.

• What is sent: When you use the AI Chat feature, your query text and relevant anonymized financial context (such as transaction summaries, budget amounts, or category breakdowns) are sent to Google's Gemini service for processing.
• What is NOT sent: No personally identifiable information is transmitted. This includes your name, email address, Apple ID, device identifiers, or any data that could directly identify you.
• Third-party processing: Google processes the data according to their API Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We do not control how Google handles data once it reaches their servers.
• Optional feature: The AI Chat feature is entirely optional. If you do not use it, no data is sent to Google.
• No conversation storage: We do not store your AI Chat conversations or the data sent to Google on our servers.

9. Notifications

Parasify can send local notifications for budget alerts, recurring transaction reminders, and payment due dates.

• All notifications are generated and scheduled locally on your device.
• We do not use push notification services or remote notification servers.
• Notification permissions can be managed in iOS Settings.

10. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

Parasify offers optional premium features through in-app purchases managed by Apple's App Store.

• All purchase transactions are processed by Apple. We do not have access to your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID.
• We receive only a transaction confirmation from Apple's StoreKit framework to unlock premium features.
• Subscription management is handled through your Apple ID account settings.

12. Third-Party Services

Parasify does not integrate with any third-party services that collect user data. The only external services used are:

• Apple's App Store: For in-app purchases (managed by Apple).
• Supabase: For optional Cloud Synchronization and Family Sharing (premium features). Your Apple ID and financial data are stored on Supabase servers when enabled. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.
• Our market data API: For exchange rates only (no personal data transmitted).
• Google's Gemini API: For the optional AI Chat feature (anonymized financial context only, no personal data).

13. Data Deletion

Since all data is stored on your device:

• You can delete all data at any time using the "Delete All Data" option in the App's settings.
• Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data.
• If Cloud Synchronization is enabled, you can delete your cloud data through the App's settings or by contacting us.
• We have no data to delete on our end because we never collect any.

14. Children's Privacy

Parasify is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Since the App does not collect any personal data from any user, there is no risk of children's data being collected.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Since we do not collect email addresses or contact information, we encourage you to review this page periodically.
